STEP ONE

Start with getting utilities set up

Water, Sewer, Trash & Recycling

You can set up all these utilities by stopping by city hall at 110 Ash Street, or calling at 712-446-2243.

Electric & Gas

MidAmerican Energy provides both gas and electricity services. Contact them to set up service.

Internet & Cable

To set up internet and cable service, contact WesTel Systems.

STEP TWO

Update your address & other important information

Update with USPS

To set up mail forwarding and update your address, visit the USPS website and follow their guide.

Don’t Forget!

Notify banks, credit card companies, and other important contacts of your updated addresses.

Get familiar with local services

Register for a Library Card

Visit our local library and sign up for a library card!

Locate nearest medical facilities

Sutherland’s clinic is located at 133 W 2nd St. It’s a great option for non-urgent care for the family!

Learn more about local education

Check out Zion St. John’s Elementary and South Obrien’s school system websites for more information.
