Sutherland’s City Wide Clean-Up Day is happening on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Volunteers age 18 and up are invited to meet at the City Shed at 8:00 AM to help. Stickers are required for large item pickups and can be purchased at City Hall from March 31–April 24 or at the City Shed on cleanup day. Items requiring stickers include mattresses, box springs, stuffed furniture, carpet (cut into strips), toilets, electronics, and more ($20–$25 each). The city will not pick up yard waste, construction debris, auto parts, tires, or white goods like refrigerators and stoves—residents must arrange their own disposal. Hazardous materials like paint and chemicals can be dropped off at the HHM trailer on Friday, April 25, from 9–11 AM at the City Shed. For questions, call City Hall at (712) 446-2243.
